Virgin Atlantic frequent flyer program members will also benefit from earning Miles. The more Miles you make, the greater the rewards.
Signing up for the Virgin Atlantic Flying Program is easy. Enter your details online, and you’ll be able to start collecting. You will need to spend or earn Miles to keep your membership active.
Your membership will be active for at most thirty-six more months with each activity you do with Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Benefits
As a member, the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club will allow you to use your Miles for vacations, flights, and even chauffeur services. The class and destination determine the number of Miles required for a flight.
Partner brands also accept Miles, which can be used to purchase fine dining, airport lounges, transport, and other services. Members can use their miles towards Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Spas at Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
Collecting Miles
Signing up for the Virgin Atlantic membership makes it easy to collect Miles. This program is for frequent flyers, but there are many ways to earn Miles on and off the ground.
Members can earn Miles when booking hotels and renting cars, but they can also shop with partner brands to collect Miles. Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is connected to brands like Apple, Forever 21 and Tesco. Some membership plans do not apply on transit routes, so do check before traveling.
Virgin Atlantic members can convert points from other reward programs into Miles. Members can also buy extra Miles for rewards.
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Tiers
Climbing tiers can give Virgin Atlantic Flying Club members even more significant benefits. This rewards program has three levels: red, silver and gold.
After signing up, members receive the basic tier of red. The silver and gold tiers offer additional benefits.
Once a member has earned 400 Tier Points, the silver tier is available. Members get 30% more Miles, priority baggage and free economy seats at this level.
The gold tier starts at 1,000 points and offers benefits such as 60% more Miles on flights, lounge entry, and check-in to Upper-Class regardless of flight class.
Reward points on credit cards
Virgin Points can only be earned using a Virgin Atlantic World Elite Mastercard (r). You can make as many as 50,000 bonus points in the first year.
- You will receive 30,000 bonus points if you spend at least $1,000 within the first 90 days after account opening.
- For adding, an authorised user will receive 2,500 bonus points (maximum 5,000 points).
- 500 bonus points per anniversary if you spend at most $15,000 in the anniversary year.
- 500 bonus points added after you spend a minimum of $25,000 during your anniversary.

It’s not a small sum to earn 50,000 Virgin points. There are other indirect ways to make this currency from credit cards, which are more efficient than the Virgin Atlantic credit card. You can transfer American Express Membership Rewards or Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi ThankYou Reward, Capital One miles, and Citi ThankYou Rewards at 1:1.
Chase Sapphire Preferred(r), which offers 60,000 bonus points after spending $4,000 in the first three months of account opening, is a good choice.
