Virgin Atlantic Airlines service millions of customers from their hub in the UK and through airports on various continents around the globe.
This airline prides themselves on their welcoming service that puts the needs of travellers at the forefront. One way of showing that is by offering frequent travellers rewards, and to do that, the airline introduced the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.
Read on for all the details on this frequent flyer program including the rewards you can benefit from with the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.
The Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is Virgin Atlantic’s free reward program that allows frequent members to collect points while travelling. Virgin Atlantic titles these points “Miles” which can be used for travel-related rewards like flights, hotels, and upgrades.
Like other frequent flyer programs, those who regularly travel with Virgin Atlantic will benefit from racking up Miles. And the more Miles you get, the more significant rewards you receive.
There are no specific requirements to sign-up to the Virgin Atlantic Flying Program; enter your information online, and you can start collecting from there. To keep your membership active, you’ll need to earn or spend Miles.
Each activity you make with the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club will keep your membership active for at least thirty-six months.
When you’re a member of the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, you’ll be able to put your collected Miles towards flights, vacations, or even a chauffeur. The amount of Miles needed for a flight depends on the class and destination.
Miles are also accepted at partner brands that include airport lounges, transportation, and fine dining. And speaking of airport lounges, members can also use their Miles towards the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Spas in Gatwick and Heathrow airport.
Collecting Miles with the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is just as easy as signing up. While this program is meant for frequent flyers, there are a variety of ways to collect Miles on and off the ground.
While members can collect Miles for travel necessities like booking hotels or renting a car hire, they can also collect Miles by shopping with partner brands. Tesco, Forever 21 and Apple are all brands connected to the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.
Virgin Atlantic also allows members to transfer their points from other rewards programs into Miles, and members can also purchase extra Miles to put towards rewards.
Members of the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club can get even more benefits from climbing tiers. There are three tiers within this rewards program: red, silver, and gold.
Red is the basic tier that each member gets after signing up. From there, the silver and gold tiers have their own set of additional benefits.
The silver tier begins once the member has collected 400 tier points. At this level, members get additional benefits that include 30% more Miles on flights, priority baggage, and free economy seat selection.
The gold tier begins at 1,000 tier points, with benefits that include 60% more Miles on flights, lounge access, and Upper-Class check-in regardless of flight class.
